I think if you're budget is under 0 there are still better choices than what's on that list. For cemented shoes I've always had good experiences with Clarks and Ecco. With that said there are still good options right near 0 like Mermin, Beckett Simonon, Taft ect.

I have owned and worn the shoes for years. And the problem persists. In case someone wants to claim the problem will go away over time. I am prepared for the downvotes. Ecco has a rabid following from people for who the shoes do work. To the point that people can't/wont believe that my Ecco shoes are torture to wear for extended periods.I am also a vegetarian, and wish I could find cruelty-free shoes for my feet. But, unless I'm willing to get custom-made shoes I'm out of luck. My current go-to shoes are Birkenstock (some have a vegan upper available, but the inner sole is still suede).
